They have a partner-referred business.
“Our clients are bringing us revenue now.”
The company has 25 people. “As the business has grown, my role has had to grow.”
He used to do more sales, now he works on managing and growing the team.
One metric to track – leads and conversion of those leads and how quickly those leads turn into business. They examine this on a weekly basis.

He gained confidence to go out on his own after working with three strong companies after leaving the military.
His company has an 8A certification. The Small Business Administration grants it to companies, which gives that company the opportunity to work with the government as a sole-source business.
Tuskegee Contracting has 10 employees.
Advice for those looking at 8A:
-Make sure you understand the program
-Make sure you understand the requirements needed by the clients
-There will be a lot of paperwork. Be ready for that
-Develop relationships with the client before starting 8a
-There is a time limit and 9 years is all you get in 8A
His uncle was one of the original Tuskegee Airman and Jeff named the company in honor of him.
“A lot of the barriers and challenges the Tuskegee Airmen faced helped make things easier for me to have opportunities.”
