“Partnerships and relationships are the key to our business. Our motto is, ‘We can’t grow unless you’re happy.’ So that’s what we do. We go above and beyond between customer service and the quality of our product.”
Social media is the secret behind the company’s success.
“We put some money into a Facebook ad, and did Facebook Live video, and now we book out parties a month in advance of 124 people 4 or 5 times a month. Every time we do one with a new video, put it on social media, we have almost 32,000 followers on Facebook, and they are begging us to come to other cities across the U.S.”

*Sherri Miles, President of Miles Roofing and the VP of J.D. Miles and Sons.
Sherri and her brother left the area, learned their family trade in other locations and came back, invigorated to be a part of the family business.
“We always look back for the good things, and to learn from the past, but we also want to go forward in new ways.”
“We talk about failures more than the successes sometimes. The failure rates for family businesses – from generation to generation – are greater and greater. It’s very rare to have a second generation, a third, and really rare to have a 4th generation because the successive generations need to have to want to do it.”
