Welcome to Episode 49, where once again I invite you to listen in on a strategy session with one of the members of my PR Pro Membership Community.
I have been cheering Resi Connell on for more than a year, and today, October 4, 2017, the day this podcast episode goes live, is a big day for her. It’s the culmination of months of really hard work to bring a dream to reality.
Resi is a mom, she is an educator, she loves the outdoors. She is bringing together everything she loves into one life-changing project in the Richmond, Virginia area.
Today, she is opening the doors to the area’s first farm-based school – the ultimate hands-on learning environment for students.
It has not been an easy journey. Not at all. Since I’ve known Resi, I have encouraged her to make connections with journalists and start doing videos to showcase the amazing space her students will get to learn in. She’s gotten media mentions and support around this project.
I wanted to share our strategy session with you because it’s a lesson for all of us on the importance of connecting fully with the people who support us. Resi has been running around, finding property, raising funds, recruiting students, and now she has a bit of time to focus on letting people know about what’s been going on.
I told her my tips for reconnecting with her tribe. They have been there waiting all along, waiting to hear from her.
What you’ll learn in this episode:
*Why Resi decided to create a school like this one
*The challenges she has faced to make this happen
*What she did to encourage support for her project
*How to reclaim momentum for her school
*What you can do to re-engage your tribe
*How to capitalize on media attention
